285 Kent Ave Schedule

Cheap shows, great booking, strong drinks: this is what a DIY venue is in Williamsburg. Unmarked and located directly next to Glasslands Gallery, it’s hard to describe 285 Kent as a traditional music venue, as it is more just a place that bands play. It often gets crowded and can get very hot, so leave your winter jacket at home. If you aren’t into the industrial vibe, you’ll likely hate it, but if you don’t mind it (or if you are a true Williamsburger at heart and LOVE telling friends about the dingy warehouse you saw the latest Greenpoint chill-wave trio in), it has surprisingly good sound. There are also usually a few beach chairs floating around the perimeter if you want to take a breather. Todd P is heavily involved in many of the shows, so they are generally open for all-ages.
